Our story.
My name is Shannon and I am the owner and founder of Shanny’s Pet Nannies and Dog Walkers. My mission is to provide pet moms and dads a local source for premier pet care when they are away during the work day, going out of town, or anything in between.
During my 30-year career in corporate America, I struggled trying to balance my commute and workday with ensuring my pets had adequate potty breaks, exercise and attention. And trying to find a trusted pet sitter when I was going out of town on vacation or a business trip was so stressful!
Having now retired from the banking and financial services industry, I am honoring my authentic self by creating a service for pet parents and their fur babies (or feather babies) to make their work and home lives easier.
I have been interested in improving the lives of animals since I was very young. My history includes caring for dogs, cats, birds, hedgehogs, chickens and even pot-bellied pigs. I was also fortunate to spend 5 years volunteering at a marine mammal rescue on the west coast where I was able to assist in the rehabilitation and release of California sea lions, harbor seals, northern fur seals and elephant seals. Additionally, I have, and still do, work with breed rescue organizations including Oregon Basset Hound Rescue and Pug Partners of Nebraska, where I am currently a volunteer.
It would be my honor to provide you with worry free pet care when needed. I look forward to my new adventure and to meeting you and your pet babies!
